  • March 10th - Last day to level change or drop a class without a drop/fail
  • March 14th - Future Junior Night @ 5:30pm in WHS Library - All future juniors and their parents are invited to attend

  • March 27th - UC Berkely - Student Ambassador, former WHS student presenting at 11:30am in the CCC

The counseling office is closed during class time unless it is an emergency.
You may make appointments or walk in to see your counselor before school,
between class periods, nutrition, lunch, and after school.

California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE)

For any student that is interested in taking the CHSPE, there will be an informational meeting at the TO Library on March 25th and April 1st at 5:00pm. This will include possible scholarships for students to take the exam.

The California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE) is a voluntary test that assesses proficiency in basic reading, writing, and mathematics skills taught in public schools. Eligible persons who pass the CHSPE are awarded a Certificate of Proficiency by the California State Board of Education. The test is given in English only.

The PSAT is over - What next?

Your student has just completed the PSAT. Here are some answers to commonly asked questions:

When will I get my PSAT scores?

PSAT scores will be available for students the week of December 12th.

How will I get the scores?

You will receive your scores in 2 ways:

  1. You may access your scores electronically in your College Board account starting December 12th.
  2. Your test book & a copy of your score sheet may be picked up in the Attendance window Monday, January 9th - Wednesday, January 11th, during nutrition & lunch-only.

How do I access the electronic scores?

  1. Create a College Board account (if you do not already have one) at
  2. Log in & access your scores on the Home page (“PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10, & PSAT 8/9 Scores”)

How do I interpret the scores?

Check the College Board video for help interpreting your scores.

What can I do now?

Continue working hard with your high school academics. Check out your College Board account for free resources for SAT preparation with Khan Academy, college & career exploration, financial aid information, etc. Khan Academy has a FREE SAT preparation resource that can be linked to your College Board account to provide an individualized prep plan.
