Career Education Program

The Westlake Career Education Program offers students many opportunities to explore careers in a variety of ways such as online exploration, guest speakers, business tours, and career-related field trip events.

All Westlake High School students are provided a free NAVIANCE account. NAVIANCE allows students to explore careers, complete career surveys, explore colleges, research college majors, and assist with the college application process. Each year the counseling staff will conduct a NAVIANCE workshop related to the topics listed. Through the NAVIANCE account, students receive important messages regarding field trips, guest speakers, and internships.

Students may sign up for Regional Occupation Program (ROP) courses offered at the Career Education Center (CEC) (https://www.vcoe.org/cec) . Courses are offered in both the early and late afternoon to accomodate student's WHS class schedule All classes are tuition free.
