Weathersfield Elementary is a 2014 California Distinguished School and we recently received the 2020 U.S. Department of Education’s National Blue Ribbon Schools Award.
Located in the northeast corner of the Conejo Valley, we currently serve 343 students from transitional kindergarten through fifth grade. Weathersfield is staffed with a dedicated group of professionals who are committed to providing a rich learning experience for our students. We expect students to maintain high standards of citizenship and scholarship. Our school has a strong academic focus which is enhanced by technology in every classroom including: Promethean boards, hand held devices, desktop computers, and two computer labs. In addition, we have a productive science lab where students perform experiments to enhance their science experience. At Weathersfield, through our Character Education program, our students are learning the habits of excellent citizenship. We offer a variety of rewards programs for positive reinforcement, classroom incentives, and award assemblies to build our students’ self-esteem. Our Student Council and Kiwanis K-kids programs are active participants in spirit building, fundraising and community service projects both within the Conejo Valley and beyond. We believe the Arts are a critical component of a child’s educational experience. Weathersfield has a highly acclaimed music and chorus program, art, band and strings. Our school has an active PTA and a myriad of activities to engage our students and involve our families. School to home communication is a key factor in ensuring our families are up to date with all school happenings. We communicate through our weekly newsletter (Eagle Flyer), phone messages, e-blasts, text messages, school and PTA websites, PTA Facebook and Twitter @GoWeathersfield.
