College and Career Seminar

Hello, and please allow me to introduce myself.  My name is Anna Sobrino and I teach College and Career Seminar at TOHS.  I have been teaching for almost 2 decades and I have been teaching Careers at TO since 2011.  I truly enjoy working with freshmen and encouraging them to consider all of the possibilities that their futures hold

In addition to the textbook, students are issued workbooks which remain in the classroom during the semester.  The workbook is essentially a rough draft for the larger assignments, as well as a space for students to dream and practice new skills.  Students should also have a section in their binders (recommended) or a separate binder for Careers notes, handouts, and returned work.

We also use several online resources during the semester:

  • Class assignments and other resources are posted in Google Classroom.  Parents, please email me if you would like to have access to your student's classroom.

  • The textbook provides an online component, called My10YearPlan.com which will allow students to create a private electronic portfolio.

I look forward to working with you to help your child plan for the future.  Please email me when any questions or concerns arise.  I am typically able to respond to email within one school day.
