The Thousand Oaks City Council voted in 2007 to create a new program for the high schools called "School Resource Officer." Deputy Molina is assigned to Thousand Oaks High School. Deputy Molina reports to TOHS on a daily basis and works directly with Principal Eric Bergmann and the TOHS administrative team. Deputy Molina may be reached at 495-7491 x2221.
While the School Resource Officer may enhance the all-around safety on campus, he is a resource for the school in addressing specific issues with our students and parents. The School Resource Officer (SRO) will provide on-going education to both students and faculty about the perils of substance abuse. He is also a mentor, protector, and educator. The deputy will reach out to all students on campus and build a partnership with both students and faculty. Additionally, the SRO will identify at-risk students and assist them in getting back on the right track. Having a SRO assigned to Thousand Oaks High School provides the administration and staff a full-time deputy to assist in meeting the needs and goals of the school, as well as the needs and goals of individual students.
