The National PTA Reflections Program is an arts recognition and achievement program that provides opportunities for students to express themselves creatively, and to receive positive recognition for original works of art inspired by a pre-selected theme. The Reflections Program is also geared towards increasing community awareness on the importance of the arts in education. The Reflections Program was first established in 1969 by National PTA board member Mary Lou Anderson. To date, more than 10 million students nationwide have participated in the program. Creating art is a great learning experience, providing growth and enhancing development through self-expression.
Students gain recognition at the local, district, state, or national level for their Reflections entry.
