Dear Redwood Middle School
Community,
Welcome to Redwood Middle School, home of the Vikings! I am eagerly anticipating the
2020-2021 school year even though it will be unlike any year we have ever
experienced in our lifetime. With so many new changes on the horizon
including starting school remotely, our new bell schedule, cohorts, virtual
clubs, and the eventual bring students back to school plan, there are many
unknowns, but nothing we cannot conquer together.
Our Redwood staff is committed
to making sure that each student feels comfortable and safe before, during and
after school each day whether that be in a virtual remote learning world and/or
when we return back to campus. Our campus supervisors, teachers,
administrators, classified staff, and counselors work together throughout the
day to ensure the safety of each student. Student safety is and will continue
to be a top priority at Redwood.
We encourage your student to
stay involved on campus by joining a virtual club, staying connected through
one of our performing arts electives, and developing positive relationships
with both adults and peers on campus when we return. Our ASB will offer virtual
lunch-time and after school activities for students, please be sure your
student takes advantage of all the opportunities to be involved!
Communication is key! Please do
not hesitate to communicate with staff via phone or email at any time. Parents
are welcome on campus and encouraged to stay active in PTSA, SSC and the many
volunteer opportunities that come up throughout the year. With the help and
involvement of the entire Redwood community, we will continue with our
longstanding tradition of academic excellence as evidenced by our recent 2017
California Gold Ribbon recognition and 2013 California Distinguished
School.
I look forward to continuing to
work with you this school year and many school years to come. If you have any
questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at (805) 497-7264
ext 1007 or email me at njudd@conejousd.org
Sincerely,
Nicole Judd
