Help Keep Kids Making in the MakerSpace

Thank you Lang Ranch community for keeping the MakerSpace stocked and ready for creative minds!

As summer draws closer and you start to clear your child's backpack, please consider donations of ANY old school supplies, even if they're not in great shape!

  • Drawing tools (pencils, crayons, markers, etc. broken or not)
  • Scissors
  • Paper
  • Notebooks (keep your child's work, but we love the blank paper and the spirals!)
  • Pencil Boxes (no matter how mangled!)
  • Used glue sticks and/or glue bottles
  • Etc.

Items to connect always in need:

  • any kind of tape
  • any kind of glue (hot glue sticks low temp variety)
  • clothes pins, paper clips, binder clips, brads, etc.
  • pipe cleaners, wire
  • rubber bands
  • string, ribbon

You will find the donation bin in the front lobby near the trophy case.

Lang Ranch MakerSpace

Our makerspace provides a hands-on environment where students gather to create, invent, and learn. Daily recess sessions and extended classroom learning with optional curriculum-based projects are open to all grade levels. Physical and virtual materials are available, ranging from recycled paper goods to complex tools and coding applications to video editing software in an effort to move our students beyond simple consumption to inspired creation. Our goal is to encourage our future inventors, do-it-yourself-ers, scientists, artists, educators, problem solvers --  all our future adults -- to turn their knowledge into action!

Thank You PTA!

Thank you to the Lang Ranch PTA. Our community's generous contributions to the Lang Ranch PTA, have made the initiation of the Makerspace possible. Through the continuous support and donations of Lang Ranch families and the local community, we hope to maintain this special place for hands-on, inventive learning.
