Our club meets on Tuesdays, during lunch, alternating between the advisors' classrooms. Mrs. Maiorca (Rm 7) and Mrs. Butcher (Rm 13) are the advisors. You can join Remind to get text announcements sent to your phone. Text to 81010 the message"@dmaio" and you will be added to the list.
Please continue to bring your donations For The Troops to the school office. We will collect items until April 4.
Reports from Past Projects:

Thank you to all who walked in or donated to the CROP Walk to Stop Hunger. Donations supported Manna, Meals on Wheels and other organizations that are helping to feed people.
Our nacho sale raised $235 that will be split between our school library and Ventura County Animal Services. Thank you to all who contributed!
Los Cerritos students wrote 1149 letters for the Macy's Believe Campaign to support the Make A Wish Foundation. That is over $2000 to be donated to Make-A-Wish. Great job, LC!
Our UNICEF Coin Drive raised $142 for tetanus immunizations in third world countries.
Thank you to all who supported our Bake Sales for the family who lost their home in a fire. All the money that was raised has been delivered to a grateful family.
October 22 was Kiwanis One Day. Our sponsoring Kiwanis Club and two local Key Clubs teamed with LC Builders Club and staff to beautify Los Cerritos. Over 30 trees, plants and flowers were planted near the upper portables. Thank you for your help!
Our Back to School Night Bake Sale raised $250. Half of that will go toward UNICEF to help prevent tetanus in babies and mothers. Thank you to everyone who donated time or baked treats.
The Campus Beautification Committee weeded and replanted the area under the marquis just in time for the first week of school! Drought-tolerant plants that bloom in school colors were chosen.
Remember to recycle bottles and cans at lunchtime! Builders Club receives a portion of the money raised through school recycling.
