It's been said, "It takes a whole village to raise a child," and we couldn't agree more.  We work together at Glenwood with a fabulous teaching staff and support staff, but we couldn't do it without the help and support of our wonderful parents and their volunteer efforts.  We're also fortunate to have community members volunteer through various agencies or schools, and our students' experiences are richer as a result.

Getting involved in your child's educational experience is a tremendous part of their success!  As parents, it is important to know what's happening in their classrooms, as well as being a part of budding or continuing friendships.  In addition, being active allows you the opportunity to be a part of the larger Glenwood community - meeting others with similar interests, and most importantly, having fun!

We hope you'll take advantage of many of the opportunities, here at Glenwood, to get involved, and to stay involved!  Several opportunities are listed below, but feel free to also check with your child's teacher or the front office if you have a special skill or gift that isn't addressed below!

While many of our families are able to volunteer during the day, we have others who aren't due to work obligations or small children at home.  These parents can be supportive through encouragement of student academics, and by participating in school evening or weekend events.

We look forward to having you become an active part of our Glenwood community!
