In cooperation with the United Methodist Church of Thousand Oaks, Glenwood Elementary School is pleased to provide two after school programs to assist students.
The "Tuesday Study Buddy" program is designed for students in grades 1-3
The Tuesday/Thursday "Homework Club" is designed for students in grades 4-5

The program is designed to assist and support students with homework and related class work. Each day students will spend approximatedly 1/2 hour on academic work and the other hour will be used for arts and crafts, as well as reading and math games. 36 students will be accepted into the program on a first come, firt served basis. These classes will run from 2:45 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Methodist Church . For more information, a flyer is available in the Glenwood Elementary Office, or call Dori Fotsch at (805) 402-2100

This tutoring program is a supplement educational service provided by the Ventura County Office of Education. In October, selected students at Conejo Valley title 1 schools, currently in program improvement, were invited to attend a tutor's faire at the school district. There families got a chance to apply for tutoring for their child. Teachers at Glenwood Elementary provide the tutoring after school, in their own classrooms. Students accepted into this program are provided 32 hours of free tutoring; beginning in January and ending in April. We currently provide tutoring for 36 students in grades K - 5.
