We are very grateful to the Tri-County Gate Council for awarding Earths a $200 Parent Grant. We have used the funds to start a Strategy Game Club that runs every Tuesday from January 10th - March 13th. A second session will be offered from March 27th - May 29th.

What we've been doing...
Our Earths' Family Field Trip to the Chumash Indian Museum was a great success. Our tour guide, Graywolf, complimented our students saying that they we were one of the best-behaved and knowledgeable groups he has ever worked with. Way to go, Geckos!

Our Odyssey of the Mind teams are working hard to prepare for the Regional Competition on March 3rd. Some of our students spent their Sunday at a practice competition in LA.

G.A.T.E. - Gifted and Talented Education Program

At Earths, our goal is to provide an instructional program that will focus on your child:

  • being appropriately challenged
  • making appropriate academic gains
  • developing strong cognitive skills
  • experiencing positive personal and interpersonal growth

Focus is placed on the development of critical thinking skills, problem solving activities, and sustained academic success. The curriculum is modified to meet student needs. Accelerated or extended opportunities are provided as appropriate.
