About Ms. Klee

Hi my name is Karen Klee. I began teaching in 1990 and have been at Colina since 1994. I have taught all three grade levels and am currently teaching 6th and 7th grade. I received my undergrad and teaching credential through Cal State Northridge. I continued my education and earned a Master degree from Azusa Pacific in 1996. At Colina, I have been department chair since 2005, have been a part of School Site Council, Student Study Team, ASB advisor, and coached the volleyball teams.

Classroom Highlights

Turkey Trot (Week of Thanksgiving)

  • The top 7 boys and the top 7 girls from each class compete in a cross country race on campus.
  • We have 6 races during lunch, 7th grade girls, 7th grade boys, 8th grade girls, 8th grade boys, 6th grade girls, and 6th grade boys

Rabbit Run Relay (Week before Spring Recess)

  • The top 4 boys and the top 4 girls from each class compete in a mile relay.
  • Races are by grade level boys and girls

Colina Classic 5K Run

  • Any student may qualify for this race. They will have three opportunities to participate. Here is how: Student must complete 6 cross country laps in under 28 minutes. They must maintain at least a B average on all subsequent runs.

  • High School and Professional Coaches come in to give clinics and demonstrations, including sports like wrestling, volleyball, tennis, field hockey, lacrosse, marching band, and color guard.
