Aspen PFA Fundraisers, Events and Services

The Aspen PFA works hard to raise money and bring fun, community-building events to the school.  The money raised each year provides extra funding for specialists, instructions aids, programs and technology - all for our kids!  Take a look at the long list below to see just some of the great things that happen because of the amazing dedication of the Aspen parents, teachers and staff!  Please consider helping out - we are always looking for great, new volunteers and ideas!!

EASY Money for ASPEN

School Cents: The School Cents competition is back at the Oaks!!! Shop at The Oaks mall, and submit photos of your receipts online to help Aspen win a Visa Gift Card valued between $250-$2500. We are competing with other local schools for a chance to win… The competition runs between 9/1/19 and 4/30/20.  Go to and follow the instructions to submit photos of your receipts. 

Amazon Smile: Go to, log in with your usual Amazon account info, and go to “Accounts & Lists”.   Scroll down to “Your AmazonSmile” to choose 'Aspen Parent Faculty Association' as the desired charity.  The AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price from your eligible AmazonSmile purchases.  Remember to bookmark this website to make it even easier!

Box Tops - Start Clipping! Simply look over your groceries for the Box Tops for Education, clip them, and bring them to the Aspen Front Office.  We will send in the box tops and earn $0.10 each for Aspen.

Ralph’s Club Card: Every time you shop at Ralph’s you can earn money for Aspen.  Just create and/or log on to your online Ralph’s account at, click on “My Account” and then “Community Rewards” on the left side of the screen. Designate Aspen Elementary PFA as your charity.  If you need to connect your online account with your “alt ID” such as a phone number, click on “Account Summary” on the left side of the screen to edit/add it. Even if you have done this in the past, you must RE-ENROLL on/after September 1st EVERY YEAR, in order to renew your contributions from Ralph’s to Aspen.  A second renewal option is to print out the Aspen-specific barcode-letter and bring it with you to the store at checkout.

Conejo Deals: Simply choose Aspen Elementary from the drop-down menu in the shopping cart to have $1 donated to Aspen for every deal purchased.

Corporate Matching: Please check with your HR department and ask for a form for corporate matching.  Email us at for any missing information you need to complete and submit the forms to your company. THANK YOU!


Movie Nights

Family Outdoor Movie Night & Picnic – Friday, August 23rd, 6:30 PM
at Aspen Grass Field

Bring a picnic dinner, blankets and chairs and join us for an outdoor movie under the beautiful night sky!  Door 6:30 PM, Movie  7:30pm.  We will be showing Toy Story 3.  Treats available for purchase.  IMPORTANT: All students much be accompanied by a parent.

Red Ribbon Week

This year's theme is "Happy to be a Healthy Me" - activities will focus on fun & easy ways to keep our minds and bodies healthy.

Harvest Festival

Annual Aspen Harvest Festival – Friday, October 25th, 3-6:30 PM
at Aspen Grass Field

This is an opportunity for Aspen families to get to know one another, have fun, make memories and support our school. Every year, each class gathers their volunteers and creates and runs a fun booth of games or crafts with a fall harvest theme. The fifth graders create and run a spooky house. A bake sale helps fund classroom specific activities, plus there’s food available for purchase. The fun starts after school by the MPR and goes until 6:30pm.


Please get in touch with your Room Parent(s) if you have ideas and to volunteer. A flyer with more info, ticket pre-sales and pumpkin carving contest details will be sent home the first week of October. We hope to see you there! 


Family Feast

Aspen Family Feast – Tuesday, November 22nd, 11:15 AM – 12:15 PM
at Aspen Grass Field

There will be one lunch hour for all students starting from 11:15am until 12:15pm where you can come to school and enjoy lunch with your child or children.


Bring a picnic blanket and lunch to share with your child and spread out on the grass with other families and classmates to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday a little early with our Aspen community!  Younger siblings are welcome to join us as well! The cafeteria will be open during this time for students to purchase their lunches.


Inclusive Schools Week  – Monday, December 2rd - Friday, December 6th
at Aspen Multi-Purpose Room

Aspen students explore the abilities-challenges that many of their peers face every day.
Please help make this event possible by volunteering an hour or more of your time to work.  All supplies and step-by-step instructions are provided, no experience necessary!  

Sock Hop

 Aspen Sock Hop – Friday, February 21st, 6-8:30 PM
at Aspen Multi-Purpose Room
If you want to rock around the clock, then save the date for our Valentine's Sock Hop Dance!  Come dressed in your 50’s costumes and enjoy the Food Truck, Baked Goods and Photo Booth.  IMPORTANT: No Drop Offs – All students much be accompanied by a parent.

$5 per person or max $20 per family
Bring your neighbors, friends, and prospective Aspen students!
Come in your pajamas, watch some cartoons, and enjoy some breakfast served by our very own Aspen 5th graders in the Aspen MPR!

*Check out cool science posters - Aspen students will be displaying posters about science experiments they have conducted at home.

*Hands-on science stations organized by students from CLU - Make slime, see how Elephant Toothpaste is made, use microscopes, and much more!

*Talk to a docent from Ano Nuevo State Park

Support Aspen Scientists and join us for a fantastic and FREE event for all! Hope to see you there!
