Health Safety Tips and Information from CVUSD

CVUSD is working closely with the Ventura County Office of Education, and in coordination with Ventura County Public Health regarding the sharing of important information about the coronavirus. Regional health officials say there is currently no need for the general public to take special precautions or alter regular activities due to the novel coronavirus, which originated in Wuhan, China. They do point out that we are currently at the height of the flu season and encourage everyone to practice good hygiene to prevent the spread of the flu and other infectious diseases.

Education Opportunities for Families with Young Children Available at Horizon Hills

The Parent Education Program & Cooperative Learning Environment at Horizon Hills, part of Conejo Valley Unified School District’s Adult School, is a play-based program where the parents learn right along with their children.  The Cooperative Learning Environment features dedicated, age-appropriate rooms and yards for families with infants, toddlers, two year olds, and 3-5 year olds. Initial registration for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year begins in March/April and continues until classes are full.

Enrollment for students in Kindergarten through grade 12 for the 2020-2021 School Year begins on January 21, 2020! Starting on Tuesday, January 21, 2020, K-12 families may begin the Online Pre-Enrollment process at: www.conejo.vcoe.org/preenrollment. Please note that completing the Online Pre-Enrollment paperwork is one step of the enrollment process. After completing the Online Pre-Enrollment paperwork, families must electronically submit, print, and bring the documents along with identification and proof of residency to the front office of their assigned CVUSD neighborhood school in order to complete the remaining enrollment process. For families that do not have access to a computer, all required enrollment paperwork may be picked up from the front office of their assigned CVUSD neighborhood school.

Community Opportunity: Attend a Free Screening of the Film "Intelligent Lives"

On Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at 6pm there will be a free screening of the film "Intelligent Lives" at the Thousand Oaks High School Performing Arts Center. "Intelligent Lives," stars three pioneering young American adults with intellectual disabilities - who challenge perceptions of intelligence as they navigate high school, college, and the workforce.
