Over the last 24 hours we have received a variety of inquiries from members of our CVUSD community regarding the demonstration scheduled to take place outside Thousand Oaks High School on Monday, February 11th from 6:30am to 7:00am by a small number of Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) members, a fringe group that travels across the United States.
Inclusion, engagement, and fun are at the center of Conejo Valley Unified School District’s new Unified Basketball League. This is the first year that Unified Basketball Teams have formed at all three comprehensive CVUSD high schools. Each team is comprised of students with intellectual disabilities (athletes), and students without intellectual disabilities (Unified Partners), and they currently meet on the basketball court weekly. Their goal? To practice a fun sport together as teammates, form friendships, and prepare for upcoming basketball games in March.
Kindness, respect, and fairness without exception are at the core of how Scott Farrell treats students, colleagues, and the greater Colina Middle School community. Mr. Farrell has been a Physical Education teacher at Colina for the past 14 years, and we are proud to call him our January Teacher of the Month.
CVUSD celebrates February 4-8, 2019 as National School Counseling Week in honor of the important contributions and services provided by our School Counselors to the students and families of the Conejo Valley Unified School District.
