CVUSD Child Care's Summer Campers Have Science Fun

child eating ice creamOn Wednesday, July 13, more than 25 EARTHS Magnet Child Care summer campers learned the ins and outs of basic chemistry principles thanks to engaging science experiments from Rob West of Sub Zero. Liquid nitrogen was used to explain basic chemistry principles in several demonstrations - including the culminating event - liquid nitrogen made ice cream! All children and staff in attendance enjoyed an ice cream sundae of their making.

New for 2016-2017: Century Academy Expands to 8th Grade

Century Academy, a prestigious and personalized online-blended high school that mixes periodic face-to-face instruction with online learning, is now enrolling 8th grade students. Century Academy, which served 90 students in grades 9-12 during the 2015-2016 school year provides individualized, customized curriculum that offers students balance and flexibility to pursue other interests, passions and extra-curricular activities. Century Academy is currently accepting applications for the 2016-2017 school year.

Conejo Valley Unified School District is opening a new chapter of learning opportunities for students with the launch of its K-6 Independent Home Study Program. The decision to launch the K-6 Independent Home Study Program, located on the campus of Lang Ranch Elementary School, stems from CVUSD's, Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) - Greenprint for Success - Goal #1 which is to, "Enhance the culture and conditions that optimize learning for all students." The K-6 Independent Home Study Program provides students a personalized and flexible home-based learning experience.
