CVUSD's Parent Outreach Program proudly presents the 8th Annual Conference for Spanish Speaking Parents: My Identity - "Who perseveres, wins," My journey as an immigrant student and as a community organizer / Mi Identidad "El que persevera, alcanza," Mi historia como estuidante emigrante y como organizadora comunitaria on Thursday, March 24th at 6pm via Zoom. This virtual conference will feature Erica Fernandez M.A., Educational and Environmental Justice Advocate as the guest speaker. English translation will be available upon request.

High School Families: Learn More About the AVID Program at an Upcoming Information Meeting

Families of high school students are invited to learn more about the AVID program for the 2022-2023 school year. This informational meeting about the AVID program at our CVUSD comprehensive high schools is scheduled for Thursday, March 10th via zoom. There will be an English language session and a Spanish language session. AVID is a student-centered program designed to close the opportunity gap by preparing all students for college, career, and life.

Please join the CVUSD BreakThrough Student Assistance Program and The Conejo Schools Foundation for a workshop on Thursday, March 3rd at 6:00 PM. Presentations will be provided by professionals from the Ventura County Office of Education, and will be followed by Q&A time. This workshop is open to all CVUSD Parents/Guardians and students 12 years of age and older.

California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS)

The California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS) is a state-wide survey sponsored by CDE that is administered by 1,037 California school districts. CHKS is not a CVUSD designed survey. CVUSD utilizes this information to develop important programs that address the health, safety, and well being of our students. CHKS has been administered biennially in CVUSD since 1999.
