I am so grateful for all of the questions asked, the emails I have received, the input collected online, and the hard work of our dedicated Committee Members which continues to help guide our Reopen and Redesign planning process for the 2020-2021 school year. Summer is typically a time for relaxation and time spent with family, which I wish for everyone in our community - as time with family feels more important and invaluable than ever. This summer our district continues to work tirelessly, with engagement and input from stakeholders, to plan and prepare for the 2020-2021 school year.
We are proud to recognize and honor our 2019-2020 retirees and also our employees with 15 to 45 years of service with the District. Unfortunately, we were not able to hold our annual ceremony this year, so please join us from a distance in congratulating them for their many years of dedication and service to our students, staff, and community.
Students supporting students is at the center of CVUSD's Online Tutoring Program. First launched in May, this FREE program will continue to give families of elementary school students the opportunity to schedule tutoring appointments with CVUSD high school students over the summer months.
Best wishes to all of our 2020 CVUSD graduates! Check out the virtual graduations from each CVUSD school and the comprehensive list of colleges, universities and post-secondary opportunities that will be welcoming our students as they begin the next phase of their academic journeys and/or embark on professional careers...
Resiliency. Perseverance. Innovation. These are just a few of the words that come to mind when I reflect back on the 2019-2020 school year. On the last day of school, I, like so many others, missed the tradition of high school graduations and bells ringing to mark the official start of summer vacation. However, the absence of tradition does not diminish the growth, learning and achievements that have taken place over the last ten months.
