The Thousand Oaks High School Lancer Band proudly presents the annual Sounds of Conejo - a celebration of high school marching bands. The event will take place on Saturday, October 9th at 7pm in the outdoor Thousand Oaks High School Stadium. Scheduled performers include: Simi Valley High, Oxnard High, Buena High, Oak Park High, Moorpark High, Camarillo High, Royal High, Westlake High and Thousand Oaks High.
Join the CVUSD BreakThrough Student Assistance Program and the Conejo Schools Foundation for "Talking with Your Child About Diversity and Identity" presented by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) on Thursday, September 30 from 5:30-6:30 PM. ADL Education's programs engage participants in examining individual and group identities, interpreting our differences, challenging bias and championing justice to create a more equitable society. There is a current nationwide shortage of school bus drivers and the CVUSD has been making every effort to handle its transportation needs. The CVUSD does not own nor operate its own bus fleet. The District contracts for services with American Transportation Systems and other affiliates
As a means of expressing their gratitude to local teachers, Los Robles Health System is hosting a Hero's Heart Award for community members to nominate teachers that, "demonstrate the meaning of having a 'heart of gold.'" Nominations may be submitted online prior to the Friday, October 15th deadline. Prizes will be awarded to each Hero selected.
All CVUSD high school students and their families are invited to the annual CVUSD "Focus on Your Future!" College and Career Information Night a virtual event on Wednesday, September 29th from 5:00pm to 7:20pm. This online event will feature information on a variety of topics including - Post-Secondary planning, Career Programs, going into the Military Academies, Financial Aid, and much more.
