Over the last four weeks Open Classroom Leadership Magnet (OCLM) students have been embracing the school’s fall theme of “Imagineers” – a theme that focuses on bringing each student’s extraordinary imagination to the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM). Students’ dedication to this thematic area of study was celebrated on Friday, November 22nd with OCLM’s annual Fall Fest, an all-day field trip at the Civic Arts Plaza.
On the morning of Friday, November 22nd, the Banyan Elementary School community gathered for a special event to thank first responders for bravely serving, and giving back to their hometown. The event featured the school’s annual Patriotic Assembly titled, “We are Thankful,” which included giving thanks to military service members, veterans, and first responders, and a special check presentation to the nonprofit Give An Hour.
National Inclusive Schools Week is December 2nd through December 6th. In honor of this week, and to celebrate Conejo Valley Unified School District’s commitment to inclusion – we are accepting nominations for CVUSD Inclusion Heroes!
