CVUSD Summer Learning Camp is in Full Swing!

CVUSD is proud to provide an elementary summer school opportunity to approximately 425 students entering grades 1-5 for the 21-22 school year. Summer Learning Camp is a fun summer camp themed learning experience for students who have learning gaps due to the effects that COVID realities have had on school and learning. Our big goals for our campers is to help them become more connected, capable, and confident to begin accelerating their learning.

Newbury Park High School Student-Athlete, Colin Sahlman, Named Gatorade California Boys Track & Field Player of the Year

In its 36th year of honoring the nation’s best high school athletes, Gatorade announced this July, Colin Sahlman of Newbury Park High School as its 2020-21 Gatorade California Boys Track & Field Player of the Year. Sahlman is the second Gatorade California Boys Track & Field Player of the Year to be chosen from Newbury Park High School. Sahlman was also previously announced as the 2020-21 Gatorade California Boys Cross Country Player of the Year.

Meet Catherine Xu: SDAC Student Board of Education Representative for the 2021-2022 School Year

Please join us in welcoming Catherine Xu to her new role as the Student District Advisory Committee (SDAC) Student Board of Education Representative for the 2021-2022 academic year! Ms. Xu is a 12th grade student at Westlake High School where she is an honor roll student, member of the Varsity Lacrosse team, Co-President of the Science National Honors Society Club and Co-President of the Green Alliance. Ms. Xu brings a passion for civic engagement to her position as the District’s third SDAC Student Board Representative.

CVUSD Prepares 10,000 New Chromebooks for 1:1 Technology Initiative

Technology Services is actively configuring over 10,000 Samsung Chromebooks to support CVUSD's 1:1 Chromebook initiative.  These Chromebooks will supplement the Lenovo, HP, and Dell Chromebooks that are already in students hands.  In order to ensure equitable access to technology, all students in grades TK-12 will be given access to a Chromebook .
