Laurie Davis to Serve as the New Principal of Weathersfield Elementary
New Leadership for the Eagles this Year
The Conejo Valley Unified School District (CVUSD) Board of Education announced this summer that Laurie Davis was selected as the new principal of Weathersfield Elementary, beginning with the 2017-2018 school year. Mrs. Davis has been the principal at Banyan Elementary in Newbury Park for the past 6 years. Prior to Banyan, she served as the Principal for Lemay Avenue Elementary School, the Assistant Principal of Woodlake Avenue Elementary School, the Assistant Principal of Fulbright Avenue Elementary School, and as the Literacy Coach and Dean at Byrd Middle School in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Prior to moving into administration, Mrs. Davis’ teaching career spanned across both private and public schools, where she had the opportunity to teach all grades at the elementary level. She holds a master’s degree in Educational Administration from National University.
"We are very excited Laurie will be leading this year at Weathersfield. She has proven to be someone who is actively engaged with students, parents and teachers, and she knows the value to integrating technology into learning. She is a great choice for Weathersfield," said Interim Superintendent, Dr. Mark McLaughlin.
Mrs. Davis succeeds Mr. James Marshall who has served as the principal at Weathersfield Elementary for the past 3 years, and who was selected as the principal at Westlake Hills Elementary, starting with the 2017 – 2018 school year.
