Thousand Oaks Family and Aviara Realtor Dore Baker Make Donation to CVUSD's Special Education Programs

Realtor Dore Baker from Aviara Real Estate in Westlake Village stopped by the CVUSD District Offices today to donate a check to Dr. Lisa Miller, Assistant Superintendent of Student Support Services to be used for special education programs in the district.

Ms. Baker donates a portion of her commission to local charities and non-profits on behalf of her sellers. She recently sold a home for a Thousand Oaks family with a child who attended CVUSD's special education program at Thousand Oaks High School. The student, now in his 20's, requested that CVUSD receive the donation because the special education program, "Saved my life." He is now attending trade school and feels positive about his future.

On behalf of our schools and programs, CVUSD would like to extend our gratitude to Ms. Baker and the local family who selected our special education programs to receive the funds. We are extremely grateful to have made a positive impact and we thank you for continuing to help make our special education programs a success!
