Kirsten Walker Transfers to Principal on Special Assignment Role

Kirsten Walker, former Acacia Magnet School Principal, is pursuing a new opportunity as Principal on Special Assignment. It is with gratitude and excitement that she takes on this new position.   

She has served as a principal for 11 years, an administrative intern for 2 years, and as an elementary teacher in the Conejo Unified School District and Garvey School District for 9 years.   

Walker has a Master of Education from UCLA where she was part of the Principals’ Leadership Institute (PLI) focusing on social justice in education. She has a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from CSU Long Beach and a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Public Policy Studies from Duke University.   

Her family members all attend CVUSD, with her husband serving as an elementary teacher in the District, and her 3 children in high school, middle school, and elementary school.   

Walker looks forward to this new adventure and being able to collaborate with and support different school sites and principals.
