Congratulations to Madrona Elementary School's Laurie White, CVUSD's May Teacher of the Month! The Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Conejo Valley Unified School District are pleased to honor Ms. White, who has been teaching at Madrona for 20 years.
Ms. White has been working tirelessly to open doors for the diverse learning needs of all students, serving as a resource for differentiated instruction for students at all levels. She has served as the GATE facilitator on campus, as well as a grade level and teacher leader in technology, including Google’s Cloud platform. Additionally, she serves as an invaluable resource on campus for colleagues for curriculum, data, technology and student behavior support. She’s innovative in her teaching strategies, and opens up lessons to all students who are interested in challenging their knowledge and potential for learning.
Ms. White consistently communicates with students and parents regarding student success and areas of growth in a timely and relevant manner. By providing relevant feedback regarding student progress, she informs families on how to best support their child’s educational progress. Ms. White is truly an asset to Madrona Elementary School students, parents, staff and colleagues, where she serves as an empathetic, caring, driven, engaging and enriching educator.
To celebrate Ms. White’s May Teacher of the Month recognition, members of the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce and Dr. Mark McLaughlin, CVUSD Superintendent, presented her with a commemorative plaque recognizing her achievement at a special surprise celebration on Tuesday, April 2nd.
