This experience has been a journey for all of us. As highlighted in our December 2018 Update and January 2019 Update to the CVUSD Board of Education, the situation continually unfolded while our commitment to finding the best solution for students remained constant. The persistence required to hold Outdoor School, just months after Camp Bloomfield was destroyed by the recent Woolsey Fire, is a testament to our community’s strength in times of disappointment and challenge. With the utmost of gratitude, we acknowledge the tireless work of Mr. Steve Sipes (CVUSD Outdoor School Coordinator), the input from our families and staff, the guidance of our CVUSD Board of Education, and the various groups and organizations that were willing to support our students.
We look forward to another year of Outdoor School and recognize just how special this year’s opportunity is for our deserving students.
