Jenny Fitzgerald, Cindy Goldberg, and Bill Gorback were formally sworn in as trustees by Superintendent Dr. Mark McLaughlin at a special ceremony prior to the start of the Tuesday, December 11th regularly scheduled Board Meeting.

The swearing in ceremony marks the start of the first elected terms of Mrs. Goldberg, Mr. Gorback, and Mrs. Fitzgerald.

Mrs. Fitzgerald has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Juris Doctor from the Santa Clara University School of Law. She holds the position of in-house Business Counseling Attorney, where she utilizes her professional legislative and government experience. She has served on CVUSD PTSAs, school site councils, and as a chairperson for the District Advisory Council (DAC).

“It’s an honor to be in this new position,” Mrs. Goldberg said. “I am truly looking forward to working with the other four Board members for our students, families, teachers, and staff to help our school district provide students the best educational opportunities and experiences possible.”

Mr. Gorback has a degree in Elementary Education from Penn State University, and a Master’s Degree in School Administration and Supervision and a Master’s Degree in Counseling from California Lutheran University. “It is one of the great honors of my life to be a School Board Trustee of the Conejo Valley Unified School District,” Mr. Gorback said. “[One of] my goals as a trustee is to increase the feelings of inclusion of each and every student into the school community in which they are a member, and to have each student engage and embrace their curriculum.”
