Weathersfield Elementary’s Stephenie Scott Celebrated as CVUSD’s October Teacher of the Month

Stephenie Scott has created a technologically savvy, engaging learning environment for Weathersfield Elementary School students. Over the last 14 years she has challenged students with creative, hands-on and well organized projects and lessons.

Stephanie ScottShe is a warm, caring, and generous third grade teacher – and the District along with the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce are proud to honor her as the October 2018 CVUSD Teacher of the Month!

Ms. Scott effectively utilizes instructional strategies that accommodate the needs of students with diverse learning abilities, including English language learners. She is an adventurous teacher who works hard to find new and interesting ways to educate students. She also encourages colleagues to participate in creating a classroom atmosphere that best suits all students.

She has been instrumental in the success of the Response to Intervention (RTI) program at the school – voluntarily researching, and visiting schools that had successfully implemented similar programs to ensure efficient and immediate student support.

Ms. Scott is truly an asset to Weathersfield Elementary School with her limitless ability to inspire students, and adapt to new teaching strategies and processes that best serve Conejo students and help them reach their highest potential!

To celebrate Ms. Scott’s October Teacher of the Month recognition, members of the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce congratulated her with gifts from their local businesses. Additionally, members from the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce and CVUSD Superintendent, Dr. Mark McLaughlin presented her with a commemorative plaque recognizing her achievement at a special surprise celebration on Tuesday, December 4th (rescheduled from an earlier date in October).

Thank you Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce members and congratulations Ms. Scott!
