SHINE Home Study Now Offers $1,000 Stipend for Students to Follow their Extracurricular & Academic Enrichment Passions

Conejo Valley Unified School District’s SHINE Independent Home Study program offers students in grades K-5 a personalized approach to learning in a home-based setting. Starting in the 2018-2019 school year all SHINE students will have the opportunity to receive a $1,000 stipend to pursue their extracurricular, and academic enrichment passions.

The SHINE home study program is a great fit for students who thrive in a non-traditional school setting, are motivated to achieve educationally, and have parental supervision, support, assistance and commitment.

SHINE is currently overseen by two highly qualified credentialed teachers with over 33 combined years of teaching experience at the elementary school level. The teachers meet with students individually in a non-traditional classroom setting weekly or bi-weekly to plan and organize each student’s curriculum needs and academic goals. Students are also invited to a weekly SHINE class with thematic based activities such as STEM and Problem Solving Experiences.

SHINE is now accepting enrollment applications for students in grades K-5. Please fill out this general inquiry form (also below) or call (805) 591-9343 ext. 227 for more information, or to schedule a tour today!
