Wranglers Share Love of Learning with Donations to Cambodian Schools
Lang Ranch Elementary’s first grade student Mia and her brother Aidan, a third grade student, were inspired to take action when they visited Cambodia and noticed a lack of books and supplies at the local school in Kompong Khleang.
The students decided they would help the Cambodian school children by sending them English language children’s books to help them learn English, and art supplies to help them develop their creative thinking skills.
When their classmates heard about their book and art supplies drive – they quickly joined in. First all first and third grade students contributed, and then the whole school joined in as part of their end of year effort to give back to others.
Books were collected at the school’s open house night. In total the Wranglers collected 1,132 books, and boxes of art supplies for six schools.
Way to go Wranglers – we are so proud of your do-good spirit, and for sharing the joy of learning with students on the other side of the world!
