Jeanne Valentine Named New Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources
The Board of Education for the Conejo Valley Unified School District announced at its regularly scheduled Tuesday, June 5 meeting that it has appointed Jeanne Valentine as the new Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources.
“We are extremely proud to welcome Ms. Valentine to her new role with the District,” said Dr. Mark McLaughlin, CVUSD Superintendent. “Ms. Valentine’s institutional knowledge of CVUSD, combined with her unique skill sets, and innate ability to build relationships with those in the CVUSD community are just a few of the qualifications that make her a great fit for this leadership position.”
Ms. Valentine has a 26-year long tenure with the District, and most recently served as the District’s Director of Elementary Education for the past four years. Prior to her role at the District office, Ms. Valentine served as the principal of Weathersfield Elementary, the principal of Cypress Elementary, an administrative intern at Lang Ranch Elementary, a teacher at Lang Ranch Elementary, and a teacher at Banyan Elementary.
Ms. Valentine has a Masters of Arts Degree in Educational Administration from California State University, Northridge, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from San Diego State University. She also completed the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) Personnel/HR Academy in 2017.
This formal appointment comes after Robert Iezza, current Deputy Superintendent of Human Resources announced his retirement this June, after 30 years of dedicated service to the Conejo Valley Unified School District.
