Nicole Judd Named Redwood Middle School's New Principal

Nicole Judd will be the new principal of Redwood Middle School, beginning with the 2018-2019 school year. The official announcement was made at the District’s Board of Education Meeting on Tuesday, June 5th.

Nicole JuddMs. Judd has devoted the past 19 years of her career to the Conejo Valley Unified School District.  Most recently, she has served as the Assistant Principal of Instruction at Westlake High School. Core responsibilities of this leadership position included overseeing the school’s instructional program, the evaluation of teachers and clerical staff, master schedule implementation, Leadership team coordination, and more.

“Ms. Judd’s commitment to CVUSD’s students, combined with her administrative experience and expertise make her a great fit to lead Redwood Middle School as the school’s next principal,” said Dr. Mark McLaughlin, Superintendent of CVUSD. “We are excited to welcome her to this new role with the District.”

Ms. Judd began her CVUSD career as a teacher in Westlake High School’s Social Science Department. She was then promoted, and held various administrator roles at Westlake High School including Dean of Student Activities, Assistant Principal of Athletics, Interim Principal and Head Assistant Principal. 

Ms. Judd holds a Master of Arts degree in Educational Administration from California State University, Northridge and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from California Lutheran University.

Ms. Judd succeeds Redwood Middle’s current principal, Shauna Ashmore who was recently named the District’s new Director of Student Support Services, effective July 1, 2018.
