PDK Awards Scholarships to Two CVUSD Teachers

Congratulations to CVUSD's Terri Culpepper and Gia Jantz who both received $500 scholarships to support their educational careers from the East Ventura Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa.

Terri and GiaPhi Delta Kappa (PDK) International is a charitable organization with a rich history of supporting educators and others in K-12 and higher education. Each $500 scholarship is to be used by an aspiring teacher in a credential program, or as in Ms. Culpepper’s and Ms. Jantz’s case, to credentialed teachers pursuing a graduate degree or an additional credential in counseling or administration.

Ms. Culpepper, Technology Integration Teacher on Special Assignment for CVUSD will use the scholarship towards her Master’s in Education Administration program through Grand Canyon University, which she is set to complete this summer.

Ms. Jantz, Dean of Students at Colina Middle School will use the scholarship towards clearing her administrative services credential through the Ventura County Office of Education.

The East Ventura Chapter of PDK includes Conejo Valley Unified, Las Virgenes Unified, Moorpark Unified, Oak Park Unified, and Simi Valley Unified.
