CVUSD Students Receive Youth Citizenship Awards

Congratulations to the 23 CVUSD students who received a Youth Citizenship Award from the Thousand Oaks Rotary. These annual recognitions are bestowed to a 5th grade student from each CVUSD elementary school and an 8th grade student from each CVUSD middle school. Students are chosen for the award for  successfully demonstrating good citizenship by helping others, for making a contribution to the school and community, and for being a role model to others. Students are also selected for exhibiting outstanding leadership skills. 

The Rotary Club has recognized our youth every year for the past 34 years, along with the County and the City of Thousand Oaks. Each student receives a certificate and plaque in honor of their recognition. This year, all awardees were recognized in a special virtual ceremony on Thursday, May 20th.
