Conejo Valley Unified Launches, a One Stop Shop of Enrollment Information

Conejo Valley Unified School District has a right fit for every family – and finding that right fit just became a lot easier with the launch of This website acts as a one stop shop of information for families living inside of the District’s boundaries and for families living outside of the District’s boundaries who would like to enroll in a CVUSD school.

Enroll CVUSD pictures of studentsThis website features a “Choose Your School” section where families can browse CVUSD schools’ unique offerings by selecting one of the following categories: Elementary, Middle School, High School, Preschool, Transitional Kindergarten/Kindergarten, Magnet, and Home and Online/Blended Learning.

Therein, each school has a special section that briefly outlines their vision and select highlights of their premier academic and extra-curricular offerings.

“Showcasing all of the amazing academic and extra-curricular opportunities available to Conejo Valley Unified students and families is no easy feat,” said Dr. Mark McLaughlin, Superintendent for the District. “The hope is that will encourage and inspire families to learn more about the District’s exceptional offerings, while it also provides an easy to understand breakdown of all the information families will need to enroll their student and join the CVUSD community.”

In total, CVUSD has 27 different school sites, including 16 elementary schools (four of which are magnet schools), one K-8 school, four middle schools, three comprehensive high schools, one online-blended high school and one continuation high school. CVUSD also offers an independent home school program called SHINE, preschool, early child care, transitional kindergarten, and other academic alternatives like Adult Education opportunities.

In January 2018, the CVUSD Student Support Services Department will begin accepting interdistrict transfer applications for students of all grade levels who would like to attend a CVUSD school in the 2018-2019 school year. The website has all pertinent information regarding the interdistrict transfer process to facilitate families living outside of CVUSD’s boundaries in selecting a CVUSD school to best meet their student’s passions.

School Choice applications for the 2018-2019 school year will be available January 3, 2018. School Choice is the process of requesting to enroll in a CVUSD school that is different than a families’ designated “neighborhood school.” Frequently asked questions and information regarding this process can also be found on the website.

General registration for families to enroll in their Neighborhood School begins February 1, 2018. Most children in kindergarten through grade 12, who reside within CVUSD’s boundaries, attend their assigned Neighborhood School based on their address of residence.

The District’s beautiful school campuses and classrooms can also be viewed on the website via the District’s first ever promotional video, where students, teachers and administrators alike share what makes CVUSD such a special place to attend school. There is also an elementary education focused video, a middle school education focused video, a high school education focused video and a specialty schools focused video.
