What is considered a transfer? - A transfer is the permanent reassignments of an employee from one location to another location in the same classification or related classification having the same salary range. (Example of Related Classifications: Custodian may transfer to Groundskeeper; Secretary may transfer to School Office Manager; Intermediate Clerk Typist may transfer to Health Clerk, etc.)
How long is a Transfer Request good for? - Transfers requests are kept on file for one year. Employees having a transfer request on file will be notified whenever there is a vacancy that meets the employees preferences indicated on a Transfer Request.
How do I fill out a Transfer Request? - Complete the Transfer Request Form according to your preferences. Print, sign, and then return the completed form to Classified Human Resources at any time, but no later than the Transfer Deadline, 5:00 PM.
Do I have to fill out a Transfer Request for every position I would like? - No, you only need to fill out one (1) Transfer Request per Job Title per Year. The more options indicated on the Transfer Request form, the more opportunity for a transfer interview.
